Her stories are intimate portraits of people enmeshed in the daily grind of life and reflects the writer’s deep compassion and wide sympathy for the troubled and tormented. Supriya Kar edits the online literary journal ‘Indian Literature Today’, translates Odia classics into English, and writes fiction and non-fiction in both the languages. She received Charles Wallace Trust Translation fellowship in 2008.She’s edited a number of works by women writers including the present anthology. She lives in Kolkata and Bhubaneswar. ”
