Literary Studies has undertaken an ‘intermedial turn’ in recent years resulting in the exploration of the relationship between literature and other medial forms like music, painting, cinema so on and so forth. Path breaking works in the area of Intermediality Studies by theorists like Irina Rajewsky and Werner Wolf have given new directions to the investigation of the complex phenomena of medial boundary crossing .
